Transport streams and service IDs are for traditional cable networks.

Placeholders removed from the SDT & NIT.

 

Temporary Rebrands:

New Service - Pre-launch Configuration:

ID 2364 GreyHorse  -  Red Button Service

- Pre-launch EPG slot allocation changed from channel 1890 to channel 70. Channel numbers are subject to change.

- SDT root flags changed to show that this service is running and encrypted. - Encryption added.

- Added to the NIT of remaining networks.

Now active on all networks but changed from a 4 digit internal channel number to a 2 digit internal channel number. Neither of which are visible on the EPG of customer facing equipment.

The hide flag combination hasn't changed so the service is still technically hidden from the EPG. Double digit channel numbers aren't meant to show on the EPG, so this is normal. 

 

Now confirmed as a red button service, linked to Sky Sports Racing.

Removal of Subscription Channel Codes (deprecated):

- 342 channel codes removed.

Note that although 342 plus 70 equals 412 it doesn't mean that services had either a channel code or an override code. Some services had both and some services had channel codes of zero.

As the codes are deprecated, it isn't worth listing the removals. 

Codes have not (yet) been removed from 5 services (Ideal World, CBBC HD, BTSportHD Hidden, BBC RB 1 HD & VEVO '90s & '00s).

The first section lists end of service / placeholder services & inactive pop-up services. The removal of subscription pack codes from these services will make any recordings unplayable. It is odd to only remove the subscription codes and may be more appropriate to remove these services entirely if they are no longer needed as placeholders.

 

The second section lists internal services which wouldn't be expected to have subscription pack codes linked to them.  

90042 & 90389 are internal reference numbers on the database as these services have ID numbers of zero.

 

IDs 2084 & 2085 are now automatically described as "Not on Stream". This is the normal description for when no Stream subscription code is present. This has been triggered by the subscription pack code removals.

Subscription Pack Code Added:

- The PMT & elementary streams (only the video stream was present for the closure slate) have been removed since yesterday's analysis.

- SDT root flags show that this service is running and not encrypted - encryption removed.

The SDT flags have been updated as elementary streams have now been removed. 

Temporary Rebrand:

Channel Closure - Hidden from the EPG:

ID 1731  NHK World-Japan

- Moved from channel 625 to placeholder channel 1825.

- Hidden from the EPG - Hide2 flag removed.

The service has been hidden from the EPG after displaying a closure slate for 8 days.

Housekeeping - PMT, Elementary Streams & SDT Flags:

- SDT root flags show that this service is running and encrypted - encryption added.

The SDT flags have been updated as elementary streams have now been added.

EPG Change - Channel Update Slate:

ID 2020 Channel Update  -  Information Slate - Inactive

- Moved from channel 527 where it was last used to channel 499

Possibly only parked on channel 499 but any further changes will be monitored.

 

 

Various changes and adjusted to a pre-launch configuration:

- Moved from placeholder channel 1825 to channel 527

- Removed from the NIT of all networks except for 3 internal networks often used for pre-launch configuration.

- The hide flag has been removed (Hide 1) so the channel will be visible on the EPG when added back to the NIT.

- End of Service flag removed, so possibly being prepared to return to service.

This service appears to be reconfigured with a pre-launch configuration to launch on channel 527.

- At the time of analysis End of Service and Placeholder flags had NOT been added.

The video stream has been replaced by a slate announcing that NHK WORLD JAPAN is no longer available.

The end of service / placeholder flag combination preserves any recordings for a short period following a channel closure.
